Venice Vintage Toys

Creature di Gomma – Venice Vintage Toys was born from an idea of Fabrizio Fontanella, a passionate collector whose own lifetime collection of toys is now a permanent exhibition located in the heart of Venice. This is a unique show including more than 5000 pieces of rubber puppets and vintage toys related to television cartoons and comics of the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties. Furthermore, the collection includes the full range of Disney rubber puppets realized at that time by the Company Ledraplastic S.p.A.

The exhibition mascot puppet, called “El Panta”, is there available: it’s a funny Venetian rat (the so-called “pantegana”) dressed as a gondolier. Conceived by Fabrizio Fontanella, “El Panta” was designed by the artist Giorgio Cavazzano and realized by Ledraplastic S.p.A. in collaboration with the sculptor Oscar Boscolo.
